ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This well-established outfitting operation has been delivering high-quality wilderness hunting experiences since 1989, backed by decades of hands-on experience in some of the most productive big game country in eastern Canada. With an in-depth understanding of the landscape—from dense forests to expansive barrens—the operation consistently provides clients with authentic, well-organized hunts.

Hunts are conducted on vast tracts of Crown land within licensed zones that receive limited hunting pressure, ensuring strong game populations and quality opportunities. The outfitter operates with a low client volume approach, allowing for personalized service and one-on-one guiding. Their team of seasoned professionals brings extensive field knowledge and a down-to-earth approach, creating a comfortable yet highly effective hunting environment. A strong emphasis is placed on conservation-based practices and maintaining healthy wildlife populations for future generations.

HUNT DETAILS:
Woodland caribou hunts are conducted during the fall season and are structured as a 6-day package, including 5 full days of hunting. These hunts utilize a spot-and-stalk method across expansive, open terrain where caribou are commonly found traveling and feeding in groups. Hunters can expect to see multiple animals per day, with opportunities to pursue mature bulls.

Transportation throughout the hunting area is primarily by 4x4 vehicles and ATVs, allowing access to remote and productive locations. Hunts take place across large, licensed areas of Crown land with exclusive access, providing a true wilderness experience with minimal outside pressure.

This is considered a moderate hunt, suitable for most hunters in reasonable physical condition. Typical shooting distances range from 100–300 yards for rifle hunters and 20–40 yards for archery hunters, with experienced guides available for both weapon types. Success rates are consistently high, typically ranging from 90–100%.

Each hunt is fully guided and includes lodging, meals, and field care of trophies. Guides assist with caping, deboning, and preparation of meat, hides, and antlers for transport. Optional arrangements can be made for meat processing and shipping at the client’s expense. Wounded animals count toward the tag, and all hunts are conducted in full compliance with provincial regulations.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters are hosted in a comfortable, full-service wilderness lodge overlooking a scenic freshwater lake, providing a relaxing and welcoming environment after each day in the field. The lodge is designed with all the comforts of home, featuring multiple double-occupancy bedrooms, full bathrooms with hot showers, and spacious dining and living areas centered around a fireplace.

Meals are a highlight of the experience, with a full-time cook preparing hearty, home-cooked dishes, desserts, and daily trail lunches. The lodge is equipped with modern amenities including reliable power, satellite television, internet access, and communication systems, ensuring both comfort and connectivity while still maintaining a remote, authentic atmosphere.

Client groups are kept small, typically accommodating up to eight hunters per week, which enhances the overall experience and ensures individualized attention. Additional remote spike camps and a smaller guest cabin are available when needed, offering flexibility based on hunting conditions and group preferences.

Transportation to and from the lodge is coordinated by the outfitter, with scheduled arrivals and departures designed to maximize hunting time. The lodge is accessible by road, allowing for consistent travel regardless of weather conditions.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
All necessary non-resident caribou licenses and tags are coordinated directly through the outfitter, with no draw process required. Permits are issued prior to the hunt, and each hunter is allowed one caribou per license in accordance with provincial regulations.

License fees and applicable taxes are typically included in the hunt package, simplifying the process for clients. The outfitter provides full guidance on all regulatory requirements, including harvest reporting, meat handling, and trophy export procedures.

For international clients, assistance is provided with documentation and logistics related to exporting trophies and shipping meat, ensuring a smooth and compliant process from field to final destination.
