While Alberta and Saskatchewan get most of the press when it comes to big whitetails, British Columbia holds its own with big mature whitetails. The HFA endorsed outfitter works year round to increase the odds for his hunters on a big mature deer. With established bait locations that have built in blinds with comfortable chairs and heaters, hunters can grind it out all day waiting on "the one". In BC, licensed hunters are allowed to bait deer; which allows guides to become familiar with their bucks and watch many of them from a young age through maturity. Hunters can be more selective and at times know the targeted buck he will be hunting based on this history. Blinds will be set early in the season to prevent any unusual interference that may detour mature bucks. Hunting mature whitetail bucks in Canada takes more patience and requires many hours spent in a blind, but the proof is in the results. The whitetail season runs from September 1 to November 30; with the rut starting November 10th and bringing with it plenty of action until the end of the season in past years. Hunter should be looking 150"+ whitetails on this hunt with a possibility of 170 or better.

Mule deer- Being born and raised in this territory gives all guides here an advantage by having years of education in the area and gains entry to some of the most pristine private hunting land that the Peace River area has to offer. With longstanding reputations as highly ethical hunters, this outfit maintains excellent relations with landowners in their concession. With good genetics these mule deer have the potential to grow into the world class bucks. Along side private land, there is the “High Country” and more adventurous hunters can take off for the day and head into the alpine; where this outfit has been able to harvest some great mule deer. With white mountain tops and fresh mountain air, you will want to keep coming back for more. The hunt area also has several rivers that wind alongside high rolling hills. With the use of riverboats, hunters can access these remote areas to glass from all vantage points along the river to locate bucks alpine hunters need to consider there fitness level if they want to hunt the alpine areas, but options are available to suit all. Hunters can expect to hunt 160+ Mule Deer with the potential for bigger.
