ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter offers hunts that take place in Northeastern British Columbia on a family ranch with thousands of acres private land behind locked gates with no public access. It’s a family owned and operated business that’s been around for going on 30 years now! This outfitters operation consists of multiple types of agricultural fields and plots that adjoins the remote wilderness in the area. These areas are full of elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, black bear, moose, mountain goat, mountain caribou, stone sheep, and wolves, all of which are available to hunt.
HUNT DETAILS
The elk are plentiful and they use both the wilderness and the fields for survival and sustenance. These two variables have proven to be a huge advantage for hunters each year as the opportunities are far above average. During the months of September and October the elk are in the rut and hunters have the opportunity to hunt with archery equipment or a firearm. It’s the hunters choice! Many trophy animals are taken every year and the outfitter has received multiple awards for record animals harvested. Management plans have been in place since the elk were introduced to the area in the 1980’s. They don’t over-harvest, and they let the bulls grow up. Hunts began operating in 1995, and since that time the outfitter has grown the operation to what it is to date. Selectively they harvest a limited number of bulls each year and this program has produced great results with bulls scoring up to as big as up to 380”+. Each year multiple bulls are harvested scoring at or above 350".
*At no additional cost all elk hunts include a whitetail deer, black bear and wolf. Mule Deer are available upon request and are archery only. There are no trophy fees and the only expense to the hunter is the cost of each tag and his or her hunting license.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The accommodations and meals speak for themselves. Expect to eat bacon, eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. for breakfast, hot soup, sandwiches, snacks, etc. for lunch, and prime rib, pork chops, chicken, etc. for dinner. No one has complained to date! If you would like to assist someone hunting, they do allow observers to attend the hunt for a fee of $400/Day.
