ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This Desert Bighorn Sheep hunt is offered through one of Huntin’ Fool Adventures’ endorsed outfitters, a family-operated business with more than three decades of experience conducting world-class hunts in Old Mexico. The operation has built an outstanding reputation through exceptional management, extensive knowledge of desert sheep, and access to over 200,000 acres of premier free-range private ranches. These carefully managed properties consistently produce exceptional Desert Bighorn Sheep, as well as trophy-class Mule Deer and Coues Deer, both of which can often be added to the hunt after a sheep has been harvested. Their long-standing commitment to conservation and selective harvest has created one of the finest trophy sheep opportunities available anywhere.
HUNT DETAILS:
This operation has maintained an impressive 100% success rate on Desert Bighorn Sheep hunts, with harvested rams typically averaging between 160 and 170 inches, while producing multiple rams exceeding 170 inches every season. Hunters can expect exciting days in the field, often glassing three to four mature rams daily, with double-digit sightings possible under ideal conditions.
Hunts consist of long days behind quality optics while covering multiple desert ranges, canyons, and valleys in search of the right ram. Once a target animal is located, hunters work closely with their experienced guides to develop and execute a carefully planned stalk. Although every sheep hunt requires determination and physical effort, this hunt is considered moderate to moderately difficult compared to many mountain sheep hunts around the world. The combination of vehicle access, manageable hiking, and relatively accessible terrain makes it an excellent choice for hunters with knee or joint concerns, or for those looking to pursue a trophy Desert Bighorn without the extreme physical demands often associated with other sheep hunts.
The hunting season generally runs from November through March. Every hunt is fully guided by experienced local professionals, with at least one English-speaking guide accompanying clients throughout the hunt.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in comfortable ranch houses that provide all of the amenities needed for a relaxing stay after each day in the field. The accommodations offer a welcoming atmosphere where guests can unwind, enjoy hot showers, and prepare for the next day's hunt. Meals are a highlight of the experience, featuring outstanding home-style cuisine and generous portions. It is common for hunters to leave not only with incredible memories and trophy photos, but also having thoroughly enjoyed some of the finest food found anywhere in hunting camp.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
This outfitter receives a limited allocation of Desert Bighorn Sheep tags each year. Because of the operation's exceptional reputation, consistent success, and outstanding trophy quality, demand is extremely high. Hunters are strongly encouraged to reserve their hunt at least one year in advance to secure a preferred date. With guaranteed tags, experienced guides, proven management, and world-class free-range rams, this represents one of Huntin’ Fool Adventures' premier Desert Bighorn Sheep opportunities.
