Whether pursuing dangerous game such as Cape buffalo and leopard or targeting rare and exotic plains game species, hunters can expect a thrilling yet safe experience led by experts who consistently prioritize success, safety, and fair-chase principles.

Hunts are conducted across vast and diverse landscapes spanning millions of acres, providing unmatched opportunity in some of Africa’s most breathtaking environments. After each day in the field, hunters return to comfortable, well-appointed lodges set in the heart of the wilderness. These accommodations blend classic safari charm with modern luxury, offering a peaceful retreat where guests can unwind and reflect on the day’s pursuit. From seamless travel logistics to personalized safari packages tailored to individual goals, every detail is carefully managed to ensure a first-class African hunting experience and memories that will last a lifetime.

HUNT DETAILS:
Mozambique delivers a truly raw and immersive African hunting experience, defined by vast, untamed landscapes and exceptional game diversity. Hunters can expect to pursue game across rugged mountains, expansive swamps, dense river systems, and remote wilderness areas where wildlife roams freely and human pressure is minimal. These exclusive concessions border iconic regions such as Cahora Bassa Lake and the famed Niassa ecosystem, creating a setting that blends challenging hunts with breathtaking scenery. With access to multiple large hunting areas and opportunities to pursue members of Africa’s Big Five, Mozambique stands out as a destination for hunters seeking both adventure and solitude.

This region offers a hunting experience unlike anywhere else on the continent. Its diverse ecosystems support more than 70 species of game, ranging from dangerous game to sought-after plains species. Mozambique is especially renowned for Cape buffalo, leopard, crocodile, and lion, as well as unique regional species such as Roosevelt sable, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, Niassa wildebeest, and Johnson’s impala. The sheer size and remoteness of the concessions allow for true fair-chase hunting, often requiring long tracking days and rewarding persistence with authentic, hard-earned trophies.

Hunts are conducted across four exclusive concessions, each offering its own unique terrain and species mix. Hunters may find themselves tracking massive buffalo herds through woodlands and floodplains, stalking leopards in thick riverine cover, or pursuing some of the largest crocodiles in Africa along remote waterways. Careful game management and minimal harvest pressure contribute to outstanding trophy quality throughout the areas. Combined with access to remote wilderness bordering protected ecosystems, Mozambique provides a classic safari experience that appeals to seasoned dangerous-game hunters and adventurous plains-game enthusiasts alike.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations are designed to provide a balance of rustic charm and modern comfort while immersing guests in the heart of Africa’s wild country. Lodging consists of well-appointed, ensuite chalets featuring hot water and reliable solar power, ensuring a comfortable stay without sacrificing the authenticity of a true safari experience. Thoughtfully positioned to take advantage of the surrounding landscape, common areas offer inviting spaces to relax and unwind after a day in the field, often overlooking expansive waterways and untouched wilderness.

Additional accommodations are strategically located throughout remote hunting areas, placing hunters close to prime game habitat while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. These camps are designed to blend seamlessly into their surroundings, offering a quiet retreat at day’s end while keeping the focus on the hunt. Together, the accommodations provide a warm, functional, and authentic African safari setting that enhances the overall experience without unnecessary excess.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
In Mozambique, the legal framework for hunting, including activities conducted on exclusive concessions is formal and tightly regulated by the government to ensure sustainable use of wildlife and compliance with national conservation law. All non-resident hunters must hold a government-issued hunting license before engaging in any hunting activities in Mozambique and the outfitter handles this for all clients. It is applied for and submitted by the outfitter several months in advance. Licenses are valid for the specified season or period noted on the permit. Separate permits are required for each species an individual intends to hunt.

PERMITS: Mozambique sets annual game quotas for concessions and individual species based on scientific and conservation guidelines. Outfitter organizations secure quota allocations for the concession area and reserve permits for specific animals ahead of the hunt. These permits are then issued to clients prior to the safari and are required for legal hunting of each animal on your list.
