HUNT DETAILS:
Moose are the priority on this hunt, and the outfitter puts a strong emphasis on high success for bulls across a full section of private property, with nearby public ground worked when good bulls have been located there. Spot and stalk and calling are the primary methods, and many bulls are spotted right from the ATV as hunters cover the trail system. Days afield begin from proven locations with a history of producing, reached on foot or by ATV, and hunters work these spots through the morning and again in the evening. Beyond moose, the well-managed property also holds whitetail deer, making a combination hunt possible for those who want to add a buck. Wolf is another option, as the outfitter includes a wolf tag and may have an active bait running for hunters who want a chance at one. Grouse hunting rounds out the property, with multiple maintained trails planted in clover that hold strong bird numbers.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in a furnished, heated camper located near the guide and cook cabin, with a warm shower available at the end of each day. Mornings begin early with a light breakfast and hot coffee ready in the guide cabin before the hunt, and hunters return midday for lunch and a break ahead of the evening outing. A new meat shack, expected to be finished, gives hunters a dedicated facility to butcher their bulls before the drive home. The outfitter takes an unhurried approach and does not rush hunters out once their tags are filled.
