DESCRIPTION:

This outfitter is committed to top notch customer service and staff that absolutely lives and breathes waterfowl hunting. They strive to take care of every detail so you can relax and have a once in a lifetime experience. Southern Saskatchewan is one of the largest staging areas for Arctic breeding waterfowl in the world and is home to the largest concentration of White-Fronted (Specklebelly) geese in North America. The Sandhill crane hunting is second to none as well as snow geese, mallards and pintails. Season runs from September to the first week of November with peak migration being in October. Typical fields hunted are harvested pea, barley, wheat, and lentil fields 95% of the time. A water hunt would take place in the event that ducks are using a small pond to get water in between feeding.

Day of the hunt starts with your guide meeting you at the hotel at a predetermined time with fresh coffee and snacks in a large van where your group will ride with him to the field. Once arriving at the field you can choose to help set up or enjoy your breakfast as the guide sets up blinds and decoys before shooting time arrives. Morning hunts usually consist of dark geese and/or cranes, although it is not uncommon for dark geese, cranes, ducks and snow geese to all be using the same field. Once a limit is reached or the flight has come to an end, the party will pack up and head back to town for brunch at one of four specified restaurants. After brunch, clients head back to the hotel for relaxation and get ready for the afternoon hunt and the guide will take the birds for processing. Afternoon hunts usually consist of either a duck hunt or snow goose hunt. Once the afternoon hunt has come to a close, party will head back to town for dinner at one of the local restaurants and discuss the game plan for the following day. Day 2 is the exact same and day 3 consists of a morning hunt only, to ensure everyone can make their travel plans.
