ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-endorsed outfitter offers traditional horseback and hound hunts in the rugged and scenic Chilcotin region of British Columbia, providing hunters with an authentic wilderness experience and excellent opportunities for moose, bear, cougar, and lynx. Backed by more than 15 years of guiding and outfitting experience in the remote country of British Columbia and the Yukon, the operation is built on extensive knowledge of the land, wildlife, and backcountry travel. The outfitter operates within the traditional territory of the Tsilhqot’in people and under the ownership of the Tl’etinqox Nation, offering guests the opportunity to hunt in a region with deep history and strong ties to the land. Hunters can expect vast wilderness, remote horseback access, experienced hounds, and a true backcountry atmosphere while pursuing game in some of British Columbia’s most well-known hunting country. The combination of experienced guides, quality habitat, and classic horseback hunting creates a memorable adventure in one of the province’s most iconic landscapes.

HUNT DETAILS:
Black bear hunts are 5-day hunts offered during both the spring and fall seasons and combine spot-and-stalk hunting with the use of experienced hounds. Hunters can expect long days glassing clearcuts, open hillsides, river bottoms, and fresh green-up areas while covering a bear rich habitat. These hunts offer an active and engaging style of hunting, giving hunters the chance to pursue mature boars with a high success rate. Accommodations for bear hunts are based out of the main lodge, providing hunters with comfortable lodging, hearty home-cooked meals, and all the amenities needed to relax after a full day in the field. Whether it’s your first bear hunt or another trip to the mountains, these hunts provide a memorable experience in some of British Columbia’s prime bear country.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations vary depending on the hunt and may include a remote cabin, the main lodge, or a heated wall tent camp in the backcountry. The lodge and cabins offer a home-style atmosphere with the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Wall tent camps provide a cozy and authentic experience close to the action. Hot breakfasts and dinners are prepared daily, with packed lunches carried and eaten in the field during the hunt. No matter the camp style, hunters can expect warm hospitality, hearty meals, and a comfortable place to rest after long days in the mountains.
