HUNT DETAILS:
Caribou populations in Newfoundland remain very strong, providing hunters with excellent opportunities to pursue mature trophy stags. This lodge-based hunt allows the outfitter to cover a large amount of territory thanks to multiple cabin locations throughout the hunting area, giving guides numerous options during the hunt.
Most hunting is conducted by ATV and on foot, allowing access to productive glassing locations and creating opportunities for spot-and-stalk hunting. The outfitter has maintained an exceptional track record of success on caribou and focuses on targeting mature bulls.
The area they operate in supports a strong caribou herd from the August archery season through the rifle season, providing consistent hunting opportunities throughout the fall. Hunts are typically scheduled for the last week of October or the first week of November, when caribou movement increases and bulls are more active.
Caribou hunts are 7-day trips, with hunters typically arriving on Sunday, hunting Monday through Friday, and departing on Saturday.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
The hunt is based out of a comfortable log cabin lodge located on the lake. Hunters can expect warm, welcoming accommodations with heat, running water, and quality beds to ensure a comfortable stay in the field. A chef prepares meals throughout the trip, allowing guests to relax and enjoy hearty, home-cooked food after a full day of hunting.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Hunters in Newfoundland are required to have a valid hunting license and the appropriate tags. The outfitter will assist clients in obtaining the proper licenses and tags required for the hunt.
