DESCRIPTION:

This is a family owned and operated outfitter that's nestled in between the coast mountains and mountain ranges of Northwest British Columbia, Canada. Both the husband and wife work full time in the business, and both provide priceless knowledge and experience. They grew up in B.C. hunting, fishing wrangling, cooking, and trapping from a very young age. They have been guiding full-time for over 12 years now, and not a day goes by that they aren't sleeping, eating and breathing hunting.

Their guide territory covers 1,500 square miles and produces upper-echelon trophies across the board. Whether you're hunting Mountain Goats in the alpine, or black bears along the coast and mountain benches, this area is one that is sought after by many. With it's breath-taking scenery and abundant wildlife, coupled with a family operation that is a great company all around, this option is one that you should definitely consider.

This particular hunt is for Coastal Black Bear. This outfitter offers hunts not only for black bear, but also mountain goat and/or lynx and wolf. Their hunts are usually paired with a Surf and Turf/Cast and Blast opportunity, allowing clients to hunt the primary species they are in pursuit of, and then do a little freshwater fishing, crabbing, and/or shrimping as well.

The bears in this area are well above average! Last season, their average was an honest 6'6" square. The area is full of bears as well! It's not uncommon to see in the double-digits daily. The best day to date was a total of 46 bears. The area is big and vast, and you're not going to run into other hunters or residents. The opportunity rate has been 100% to date! All of the guides are qualified to hunt with both firearms and/or archery equipment, and the outfitter allows archery, rifle, and muzzleloaders, and they also provide rifles for hunters for those that wish to not travel with them. This option is free to their clients.

A typical day consists of covering the area by vehicle and locating bears from a distance to then plan a stalk. Each stalk usually consists of short hikes to vantage points on the mountain to arrive within a comfortable shooting distance. There are also opportunities all throughout the day that you will run into bears at distances that all but allow you to shoot from near the vehicle. Overall the hunt is moderately physical and works for all types of hunters. Almost all bear hunts are completed inside of the first three days. With this in mind, this opens up the tail end of the hunt to do some fishing and crabbing, which makes for a great finish to the adventure.

This hunt is operated out of a nice comfortable lodge, with all the amenities of home readily available such as Wifi, Cell Service, Full bathrooms, and your own private bedroom with bedding and towels which are supplied for you.

If you are looking for a big bear, to eat very well, and to have a really good time, this option is one that should find it's way to the top of your list!
