HUNT DETAILS:
This is a fully guided hunt for trophy desert bighorn sheep on a large, well-managed private mountain ranch in Sonora, Mexico. It is a true spot-and-stalk mountain hunt, not a pen hunt, with hunters working the interior mountain ranges where the rams live. The terrain is classic desert sheep country: rugged peaks, open desert, and hidden valleys, glassed and hunted from high-rack trucks and on foot. Experienced guides who know the ground and the animals put hunters in position for mature, heavy-horned rams. The hunt is offered December through March with rifle, archery, or any weapon, guided one-on-one. Because the ranch is carefully managed for healthy numbers and trophy quality, hunters have an outstanding opportunity at a true trophy ram, and the hunt is structured so you stay until you have your chance. It suits both ambitious younger hunters and seasoned hunters who want a comfortable, high-odds sheep hunt.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in a comfortable ranch house roughly thirty minutes from the hunting ground, with individual bedrooms, nice bathrooms, and a TV room. Meals are authentic Mexican cuisine, and beverages, including alcohol, are included. The camp is well-staffed and geared toward comfort and relaxation at the end of each day in the field.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
This is an all-inclusive Mexico hunt. The outfitter arranges the sheep tag, Mexican hunting license, and firearm permits, and these are included in the hunt price, so there is no draw or application to navigate. The one process to plan for is bringing the trophy home: desert bighorn are subject to CITES export documentation, and the outfitter coordinates cape and horn handling and customs paperwork, with the CITES export permit and trophy shipment billed separately.
