ABOUT OUTFITTER:
Located in the heart of Alberta’s famed Red Deer River corridor, Alberta Trophy Deer Hunts offers premier prairie mule deer and whitetail experiences in one of Canada’s most consistent trophy-producing regions. Operating out of Drumheller, this outfitter specializes in low-volume, high-success hunts with a strong emphasis on 1x1 guiding and client experience.
With a mix of private ranch land and leased Crown grazing country, hunters gain access to expansive, lightly pressured habitat known for producing mature bucks year after year.

HUNT DETAILS :
Each hunt is built around deep knowledge of the Red Deer River region, where a diverse landscape of rolling ranchland, farmland, steep coulees, rugged badlands, and cottonwood-lined river bottoms creates ideal habitat for both mule deer and whitetail. Mornings begin before first light with glassing from high vantage points or vehicles to locate feeding or transitioning bucks, followed by carefully planned spot-and-stalk approaches that use terrain, wind, and cover to close the distance. Mule deer hunts are active and strategy-driven, involving extensive glassing and calculated stalks through open country and broken terrain, while whitetail hunts focus more on the river-bottoms, utilizing a mix of glassing, still-hunting, and comfortable ground blinds—especially during colder conditions—to target mature bucks moving through thick cover during the rut.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
During November rifle hunts, guests stay in a comfortable 5-bedroom lodge in Drumheller, where each hunter has a private bedroom and access to modern amenities, including an outdoor hot tub for relaxing after the day’s hunt. For September and October archery hunts, accommodations vary based on conditions and preference, with options including a local hotel or a well-equipped camp setup to stay close to hunting areas. Regardless of the season, the outfitter ensures hunters are comfortable, well-fed, and prepared for each day in the field.
