Much like black bear, really straight forward mountain lion permits are valid statewide except units 033, 269, 280, 281, 282, 283, 284, and 286. The season begins March 1st each year and will go until the last day of the next February or when the number of harvested mountain lions reaches the quota limit, whichever happens first.
