Hunt Advisor, Outfitter Specialist
I am 26 years old and was fortunate enough to be born and raised in the outdoor-rich state of Montana. I have been married for two years to my amazing wife, Teresa, who puts up with my hunting obsession. We just had our first son, and I cannot wait until he is old enough for me to teach him about the outdoors.
My first memory as a child was coyote hunting with my dad. Since that moment, most of my greatest memories have been made in the mountains hunting big game. Montana has great opportunities for over-the-counter hunts that produce quality animals. Ever since I was old enough to have a deer tag in my pocket, it has been notched every year. Hunting elk was always put on the back burner until I picked up a bow. Archery elk hunting is now my main passion.
Shortly after graduating high school, I had the opportunity to work for an outfitter in Montana. For five years, that job allowed me to spend weeks on end learning more about what it takes to become a good hunter and guide. In the offseason, I worked for Trophy Taker archery and was fortunate enough to spend time in the field with Dan Evans and Jerrod Lile, who have both been huge assets and mentors to me when it comes to hunting. Those jobs opened up other doors for me, which lead to spending time hunting and guiding in several of the western states. All these hunts have been eye opening experiences that have helped me generate better hunting tactics. It’s hard for a guy like me to build points for deer and elk when I know that several of the western states offer over-the-counter hunts that still hold quality animals for the guys who want to put in the time. I will continue to use this method when looking at out-of-state hunts.
I love research and planning hunts for myself and my friends. It seems as though I am constantly sharing or gathering information, along with scanning over Google Earth to pick out my next spot on the map. I enjoy sharing information with my close friends, and I love being a part of others' success in the field. It is an honor to be part of the Huntin' Fool team and to help men, women, and youth plan the hunts of their dreams.
