    HUNT DETAILS:
Hunts take place aboard the 62-foot Northern Marine yacht Isla Dawn, offering seven full days of hunting in some of Southeast Alaska’s most productive bear habitat. This boat-based approach provides access to remote shorelines, river systems, and untouched country, creating a unique and highly effective hunting experience.

    June Black Bear:
June falls during peak rut, bringing high bear activity. Hunters commonly see 40–50 bears over the course of the hunt (6–10 per day), with about half being boars. Close encounters are common, making this an excellent option for both rifle and bowhunters. This area holds one of the highest black bear densities in North America, known for large-framed bears averaging 7 to 7½ feet, with skulls in the 19–21 inch range. Kuiu Island has historically produced more Boone & Crockett black bears than anywhere else in Alaska.

    ACCOMMODATIONS:
Guests stay aboard Isla Dawn, enjoying private staterooms with en-suite bathrooms, fresh linens, onboard laundry, and unlimited hot showers. A full-time chef prepares daily meals, and the spacious salon offers a comfortable place to relax—delivering a rare mix of comfort and adventure.
