071-079 Late Deer Tag

How did you do on this hunt? I drew the late rifle tag this year. I have backpacked and hunted cow elk inthe northern part of 72 Jarbidge Wilderness area, but all time spent there not seen many bucks. Have heard southern part of wilderness better for deer. Not familiar with 71 or other units on this hunt. Any places to scout this summer much appreciated ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I used Cottonwood Ranch a few years ago on a late October rifle deer hunt in the Rubies where you have your tag. Cottonwood has horses and wall tents. We saw elk though be sure to ask if they see elk during archery season. Blain and his team did a great job on my deer hunt and served up very decent warm food for breakfast and dinner.
