Dang, what a huge jump in deer numbers after controlling predators. I guess we all should buy a mountain lion tag when hunting Nevada. Good luck!

I saw a few decent bucks but most migrated onto the private. All in all, I went on 3 good stalks and got one shot. I shot high at 53 yards down hill on a nice three point (heavy). I wont hunt that unit again, but I did not have high expectations. Its an easy tag to draw and it was cool to see some new country.

I drew a rifle Antelope tag in Nevada units 67-68 for this fall, does any one no how bad the fire situation is in northern NV ? I heard that 250,000 acres have burned so far in those units.

I hunted private land east slope looking south at the salt lake. Lots of little bucks, 40 plus per day, but all under 24.

My son drew in 2014 and I drew in 2015 for Rifle season. We were on a guided hunt and hunted mostly private land. Area is pretty flat with some rolling hills and shallow ravines and coulees. Public land was pretty crowded during rifle, its the reason we went with a guided hunt on private. I would recommend a GPS with a OnXMaps chip, area 87 is checkerboard with private and public lands and it would be easy to hunt on private land by mistake. We saw plenty of antelope on private and a few on public lands. With bow, I think you'll miss the crowds we saw during rifle season.
