For hikers and hunters, Montana is heaven. There’s only one hunting boot that’s so tough and ridiculously light that you’ll head from tracking, packing out, and dressing your animal straight to your favorite watering hole without needing to change them. And that’s because our Bridger Highs support like no others in their weight class. The padded ankle collar wraps you in complete support and comfort with a breathable, waterproof seven-inch upper that roots you to the footbed, thanks to our ankle-securing Kenetrek K-Straps.

“I purchased my first pair of Kenetrek boots back in 2009, and since then, I have worn the Mountain Extreme boots as well as their Wildland Fire boots. Their leather boots have always worked incredibly well, and I have never had any issues with them. This year, Kenetrek came out with a Bridger High boot which is just a high-top version of the Bridger Low boot. Seeing how I have had such good luck with their other leather boots, I decided to pick up a pair of Bridger High boots and run them all spring on my bear hunts.

As usual, this spring was very busy, and I pulled my Bridger boots out of the box as I arrived in Idaho for my first bear hunt. I was a little worried about not having them broken in, but I laced them up and took off into Idaho’s rough and rugged mountain country. The area we were hunting was very steep, and on the north side of the mountain, we found we were in deeper snow. I was lucky enough to harvest a bear on that trip, and my feet held up fine with no blisters or hot spots. Honestly, there was not much break-in needed for these boots and they worked well throughout the rest of my spring hunts.

As with all my Kenetrek boots, I was really impressed and can see these boots being used on several of my elk and deer hunts for this upcoming fall. The boots are lightweight, waterproof, and very breathable. The Bridger High boots are seven inches, which is about three inches shorter than my Mountain Extreme boots. They also weigh in at 2.9 pounds, which is one pound lighter than my Mountain Extremes. The boots also had great traction with Kenetreks famous K-lug design.

If you are in the market for a lightweight hunting boot, I would highly recommend taking a look at the new Kenetrek Bridger High boot.” – Robert Hanneman, Hunt Advisor
