Hayden was fortunate enough to draw a coveted youth elk tag in New Mexico. He drew this tag when he was 7 years old and took a nice bull. He knew the potential the unit provided and was willing to pass on bulls until he found the one he wanted. He passed on several bulls on opening morning until he decided to take this great bull. It green scored 340", and Hayden and the whole family could not have been more proud. Hayden also took a muzzleloader antelope in New Mexico in 2017.
