The SAWTOOTH 65 in MYSTERIUM is for the modern-day hunter who demands a pack built with the same focus, experience and hard-earned knowledge that they themselves put into their hunt. The SAWTOOTH 65 is here to change the game. Quickly access gear with 270° wrap-around zipper access and ingenious pocket organization and pack out your harvest with easy access to the patented OVERLOAD® feature with quick-attach frame capture, built on our MYSTERIUM Frame utilizing burly yet lightweight fabrications. This versatile workhorse is perfectly suited for the 2-3 day or light week-long hunt.
“As someone who spends real hours in the backcountry, the SAWTOOTH 65 stands out as a serious tool, not just a pack. It was built as a mid-size pack for multi-day hunts and heavy load situations, without being oversized and too much for a day hunt. I chose this pack for a few hunts this fall because it would carry my light essentials but remain ready to haul out meat at the end of the day.
Right off the bat you’ll notice the volume: 63 liters or just over 3,800 cubic inches and a weight of 5.4 lbs. It isn’t ultra minimal, which never fits my style, but it’s also not an expedition monster. It is large enough to carry gear and haul meat, while still manageable and not bulky. The frame is the new MYSTERIUM system, which has become my favorite internal frame design of the packs available on the market today. The added harness ventilation is also a welcome improvement when the weather heats up, especially if you run warm like I do.
Materially, the pack uses CORDURA and Robic Kodra Ripstop in key areas. That makes it rugged, it’s meant to take abuse. The features tick a lot of boxes for me; hydration-reservoir storage, internal mesh pockets, and external compression straps. The “overload” feature is what catches attention of most big game hunters that have seen my pack. The quick-attach frame capture sling system meant for hauling meat bags. If I were picking one pack to recommend for a 2-3 day hunt with the expectation of hauling meat, this would be near the top of the list.” – Austin Atkinson, Hunt Advisor
