Huskemaw Optics rolled out the new Tactical Hunter 5-20x50 in the Tactical Series riflescopes with some improvements beyond other models. The focus was on light gathering and transmission as well as convenience. Light gathering starts with good glass, and that’s what the German F2 Schott glass does well, and to improve light transmission, a 34mm diameter tube was used. The lenses are grooved and cement-bedded with proprietary adhesive for large cartridge recoil tolerance.

The greatest advantage Huskemaw Optics provides is the Rapid Field Ballistic Compensating (RFBC) turret, which is ballistically calibrated to match bullet, barrel, and environmental conditions. The custom laser-engraved turret makes it fast and easy when hunting conditions get heated.

“When Huskemaw first released their 5-30 Tactical scope, I knew I wanted some of their features, including the crisp dial turret, expanded light transmission, internal bubble level, and illuminated reticle, but the weight and overall size were too much for most of my hunting applications. However, when this Tactical Hunter 5-20x50 model was released, I knew it would be the cat’s meow when it came to exceptional glass, ease-of-use turret systems, and crisp zero stop. I’ve used this scope on multiple rifles from a 6.5 Creedmoor up to a 28 Nosler and been impressed with how easy it is to achieve a full field-of-view in the eyebox and quickly acquire targets, even while on 20x power.” – Austin Atkinson, Hunt Advisor
