These hunts take place with a local outfitter who has been guiding in the area for over 20 years. These hunts are not luxury hunts and the outfitter is dedicated to providing serious adventures with a goal of giving each hunter a true Alaska adventure. They run low volume of clients to accommodate personalized attention to each client.

All their Brown Bear hunts are one-on-one hunts. The bear population in this area of Southeast Alaska is very strong, with trophy averages of 8 to 10 ft. Over the years they have been able to maintain a very high success rate on these hunts.

Spring hunts are conducted in May, which involve glassing grass flats & exposed snow slides. Bears are feeding on new vegetation , winter killed moose, goat, and various roots. Females are coming into heat and males spend much time seeking them out. Spring hunts are one of their personal favorites, because of long daylight hours and mild weather. Clients should see multiple bears each day!

Fall hunts are conducted in September and October, and involve hunting the salmon streams from tree stands or ground blinds during the peak of the salmon runs. Bears move in and out of the bordering brush while feeding on fish. Shots are usually at close range, very good opportunity for bow hunters.

These are 10 days hunt will all meals and lodging provided by the outfitter!
