HUNT DETAILS:
This hunt has become one of our go to Aoudad hunts for HFA clients! These private land hunts run from September to October and February to April each year. Aoudad hunting in the rugged mountains of West Texas is both exhilarating and physically demanding. The extreme heat, steep slopes, rocky terrain, and thorn-covered vegetation make it one of the toughest hunts in the state. These rewarding sheep hunts are primarily spot-and-stalk, requiring hours of hiking and glassing through the vast West Texas desert, where these North African sheep have adapted to thrive. Harvesting a mature ram can require miles of trekking. Each hunt spans four days, including a half-day on arrival, three full hunting days, and a half-day on departure. Home-style meals and ranch house lodging are provided when available. Fully guided by top-tier professionals, expect shots ranging from 200 to 600 yards in optimal conditions. Trophy rams typically measure 30”+ and are nine years or older, ensuring a truly unforgettable hunting experience.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Clients will stay in a local ranch house or a nearby Airbnb close to their hunting location. While accommodations are simple, they provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for guests to relax after a long day in the field. Meals are typically straightforward yet satisfying, usually prepared by the guide. The focus is on providing a hassle-free experience, allowing hunters to enjoy their trip without worrying about lodging or food. Everything is arranged for a smooth and enjoyable stay.
