This outfitter has been around for over 40 years, and they’ve been providing quality hunting experiences for hunters across the globe. Their focus has been on providing high quality hunts, and in many cases they have taken “book” heads for their big game hunters. The allocation system along with a lack of predation, sees the population grow annually. Wolves are few in this area as opposed to some of the boreal forest zones. They have a very low black bear population and as a result the moose calf survival rate is very high. Wolves are not protected in Alberta, and moose hunters are encouraged to buy a wolf license.
Moose archery hunts are in late September and early October, which is full rut timing. Opportunity rates are about 90%. Shots are at 10 to 40 yards. Bulls are called in and the hunt is up close and personal!
Rifle moose hunts are during the month of November, and are very successful also. The rifle hunt is a 4 x 4, spot and stalk hunt, as opposed to the archery call hunts. Quads will get your moose out of the woods and back to camp.
Moose can be found all over the area, Success rates on taking a bull moose with this outfitter are just shy of 100%, with the average bull sporting a width of 35"-40".
The camp consists of the lodge, cabins, showers, and in the lodge is where the dining takes place. The facilities are up-to-date and are run with electricity and gas. The facilities are equipped with showers, washer/dryer units, and all of the other amenities of home. Vehicles and ATV's are used to access the area.
All hunts are conducted from their lodge which is located Southwest of Edmonton. Moose hunts are set up as 6-day hunts for moose only, and 10-Day hunts for combo's.
