HUNT DETAILS:
This is a Rocky Mountain goat hunt in Wyoming's areas 1 and 3, where the outfitter concentrate their efforts and are very familiar with the area. These areas hold healthy goat numbers, with billies in the nine-inch-plus class giving hunters a real shot at a mature one. The hunting takes place in unforgiving high country, as goats live above the tree line on sheer slopes at elevations reaching 13,000 feet. Expect a challenging pursuit built around glassing the ridges, picking apart the cliffs, and climbing into rough terrain to close on one once it is spotted. The guides are full-time professionals with in-depth knowledge of these mountains, a track record to prove it, years of experience, and a sincere drive to help hunters harvest a goat. ACCOMMODATIONS:
For this hunt, lodging can be based out of one of the outfitter's rustic lodges, located in either Cody or Casper, or a remote wall tent camp. The outfitter will decide what would be most optimal on this specific hunt, offering some flexibility in their basecamp. These lodges provide a home base for hunters before and after their time out in the field.
