Only a handfull of outfitters offer successful baited brown bear hunts. The work and logistics involved in establishing and maintaining baits that will draw and hold large brown bears is simply amazing. This outfitter has his operation running smooth with a track record of success on 8-10ft boars with good hides. You will be picked up from the airport in Anchorage and driven to the cabin where you will stay or depart to a comfortable tent camp. This outfitter uses jet boats and all of his guides are experienced operators, the river runs should be enjoyed. After an overnight to settle in you will head out to groundblinds strategically placed to afford the hunter a solid shot while keeping enough distance to ensure adult boars are not alerted to your presence. Large boars are looking for sows this time of year and cruising bears will eventually check these, long establsihed baits, in hopes of finding a receptive sow. This is an exciting hunt with multiple bear sightings, often during the long low light periods that alaska is known for this time of year. For those hoping to add black bear to the list, you will likely have a good chance. The trophy fee for black bear is $2500 to be paid upon harvest. Though this is primarily a baited hunt, this outfitter doesn't pass up oportunities to spot and stalk bears if the hunters wish. With the number of bears in the area there is certain to be some excitement. All hunts will be conducted 1x1 or 2x1. the outfitter prefers groups of two, making this a perfect hunt for a couple good buddies to get together in Alaska.

Notes: Archers are welcome but the outfitter needs to be aware well in advance of your arival to ensure stands are set to accomodate bowhunters.
