Whether a client is chasing a drawn public-land tag, a guaranteed landowner tag, or a private-ranch hunt, this outfitter has the flexibility to build the right hunt around each hunter's goals. HUNT DETAILS:
These fully guided elk hunts take place in New Mexico's Lincoln National Forest, covering units 30, 34, 36, and 37, with archery, muzzleloader, and rifle options. The country ranges from high mountain timber down to lower desert scrub, and hunters work it through a mix of glassing, spot and stalk, calling, and sitting water among the ponderosa, pinyon, and juniper. These rank among the outfitter's most productive elk units, where mature bulls are common and hunters have a genuine opportunity at a true trophy on any given day, with a track record of producing some exceptional bulls in recent seasons. Strong success and opportunity rates, paired with a good supply of landowner tags, mean hunters can plan a hunt with or without drawing. Units 36 and 37 offer the same caliber of country but demand better physical conditioning.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters can expect a full-camp, fully outfitted setup often described as glamping. Lodging is in large custom wall tents, roughly 12 by 14 feet and shared by two hunters, each fitted with a floor, table, chairs, and quality cots, and every camp has hot showers. A full-time cook handles three meals a day, and lodging, meals, and full days of guided hunting are included in the price. The emphasis is on keeping hunters comfortable and well fed so their energy goes into the hunt.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
New Mexico's big game draw operates on a random selection basis with no preference or bonus points, so every applicant has the same odds each year regardless of how long they have applied. A portion of licenses is set aside for non-residents who apply with an outfitter, which can improve a hunter's access compared to applying alone. Because this outfitter participates in the outfitter pool, hunters can apply through them, and the outfitter also keeps landowner tags available for those who do not draw or who miss the deadline.
