This hunt takes place in Northeastern British Columbia on a family ranch with thousands of private land behind locked gates with no public access. It’s a family owned and operated business that’s been around for going on 30 years now! This outfitters operation consists of multiple types of agricultural fields and plots that adjoins the remote wilderness in the area. These areas are full of elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, black bear, moose, mountain goat, mountain caribou, stone sheep, and wolves, all of which are available to hunt.
The deer are plentiful and they use both the wilderness and the fields for survival and sustenance. These two variables have proven to be a huge advantage for hunters each year as the opportunities are far above average.
During the months of September through November whitetail deer can be hunted. Mule deer can be hunted September and November. The early archery hunts can be hunted by way of 18’ archery stands, ground blinds, tree stands, and spot and stalk methods. The November hunts are mainly spot and stalk hunts during the rut. Blinds and stands can and will be used as well.
During the months of September and October, fall bear hunting is open as well. There are no shortage of bears, and the private land access coupled with the agriculture/feed that is always available, the black bears thrive in this location. To date black bear hunters have experienced 100% success. Typical coloration is black to cinnamon with a white blaze on the chest or straight black. The average weight for a Black Bear ranges from 200 pounds up to 600 pounds.
During the months of September and October the elk are in the rut and hunters have the opportunity to hunt with archery equipment or a firearm. It’s the hunters choice! Many trophy animals are taken every year and the outfitter has received multiple awards for record animals harvested. Selectively they harvest a limited number of bulls each year and this program has produced great results with bulls scoring up to as big as up to 380”+. Each year multiple bulls are harvested scoring at or above 350".
*At no additional cost all deer hunts include a mule deer, whitetail deer, black bear, elk, and wolf. Mule deer are available upon request and are archery only in September and rifle in November. There are no trophy fees and the only expense to the hunter is the cost of each tag and his or her hunting license.
The accommodations and meals speak for themselves. Expect to eat bacon, eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. for breakfast, hot soup, sandwiches, snacks, etc. for lunch, and prime rib, pork chops, chicken, etc. for dinner. No one has complained to date!
