DESCRIPTION:

For over 30 years, this outfitter has been offering hunts in the Western United States. This is a family run operation, built around family and a team of guides that is made up of experienced and passionate hunters who are experts. They are committed to providing our clients with a fun and educational experience. This outfitter strives to provide clients with the best hunting experiences possible. They are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every client has a safe and enjoyable trip. Their mission is to create memories that will last a lifetime. They offer a variety of hunting trips for all skill levels, and their services include guided bear or mountain lion trips on the reservation.

This black bear hunt takes place on one of the largest federally designated tribal lands in the United States. This area is 2 million+ private acres of minimally hunted lands and they have been granted special permitting to hunt there. This hunt is done by way of Hounds or Baited set-ups. They are also permitted to hunt the national forest areas that are bordering the reservation, so if a bear crosses over the hunt is still on!

They offer Spring and Fall hunts. Both seasons are great, and each has their individual perks. The Fall hunts run to the end of November and they can bait in the Fall and Spring. Spring seems to be the favorite time for most clients, but the Fall is a great time to connect on some slammer bears! THis outfitter has been producing some giant bears with almost 100% success with all of their clients. Over the most recent years, they have produced some big boars, with over 20 hunters succeeding on upper-echelon bears, with double-digit B&C bears hitting the ground.

Thia outfit has highly experienced dog teams and handlers. AZ and NM have many B&C bears in the record books as they grow huge skulls. Big bears can be highly nocturnal, so by adding the ability to hunt with dogs and baiting, they are taking giant bears. In the Fall bears are very active on Acorns so you will cover a lot of country with vehicles till the dogs start "singing" and you also do some spot and stalk hunting.

These hunts are very easy if hunting over the bait set-up's, and they can be tailored for older hunters, or even disabled/handicap hunters. Hunters can be driven to blinds with vehicles. If hunting with hounds, running with the dogs can be a little tougher, but there are a lot of roads, and most of the time clients need to be good for at least one hike for a mile or less to the tree. They have the option to hunt any type of terrain based off of the physical fitness of each hunter. Their expert guides have spent years running hounds in the area, and they have high success rates for anyone ranging from teens to the very experienced hunter. It's a great hunt all around for any skill level.

The game found on the reservation finds this area as a refuge or escape from all of the public land hunting that is done outside of the reservation. The animals have an endless supply of food and water as general public predation hunting is not allowed. And another great thing about hunting this location is the caliber of animal you may encounter. 50% of the bears harvested went Boone and Crockett over the past few seasons. Needless to say, clients have been very pleased.

Accommodations consist of either a camp or a 5-star Air BNB that the outfitter provides for all hunters and non-hunters. Hunters that take their spouses, or if it's a big group, the outfitter will put everyone up in the Airbnb. Some of the hunters prefer to stay in bear camp which is fine either way.

NOTE: This hunt also offers the opportunity to harvest two bears. Please inquire about more details.
