DESCRIPTION:

ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter works central Wyoming and aims to put hunters on the best opportunities the region has to offer. The species list is broad for a single operation, covering elk, mule deer, antelope, bighorn sheep, mountain lion, and gray wolf, which speaks to how much country the guides know and how varied the hunting in this part of the state can be. The people running it are hunters first, and they treat a booked hunt as the start of a relationship rather than a transaction. The stated goal is to send hunters home with a strong impression of Wyoming and a reason to come back, and everything they do points that direction.

HUNT DETAILS:
Wyoming holds both mule deer and whitetail, and this outfitter operates in country that supports each of them. Mule deer are the focus and the passion, and the approach reflects that. Hunting areas are evaluated so that no unit gets over hunted, which keeps the number of deer hunts on the books deliberately small and the herds in good shape. Mature bucks are the target, and genetics and size vary from one unit to the next, with the outfitter carrying a history of one hundred percent opportunity on mature, quality bucks. Spot and stalk is the primary method, starting at daylight from the guide's truck, glassing until a buck worth pursuing turns up, then stalking on foot until the hunter is in range and waiting out an ethical shot. Blind and tree stand hunts are also offered, with setups placed on water and travel corridors and reached by vehicle, ATV, or on foot before first light. Guides take one or two hunters, and hunters in blinds can sit separately or together, though separate setups produce better results.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Lodging is based in the nearest city or town to the unit being hunted, and the outfitter handles the arrangements. Hunters may end up in a motel, a hotel, or a vacation rental through a service like VRBO or Airbnb, depending on what is available in that community. Every lodging cost is covered beginning the night before the hunt starts and running through the last night, so hunters are not paying out of pocket on either end. Food and water are brought into the field each day, kept in a cooler or packed with the hunting gear when long sits or extended days are expected.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Licenses for all seasons and hunts in Wyoming are allocated through the state draw. Each unit and season require different numbers of preference points to draw a license. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
