ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter is a second-generation operation with more than thirty years of guiding behind it, all of it in Arizona. That depth of time in one state produces a kind of local knowledge that cannot be shortcut, and it shows in how hunts are planned. Elk and bighorn sheep are the specialties, both pursued with an emphasis on scouting done well before a hunter arrives and on a results-driven approach in the field. Success rates have been strong across that history. Ethical hunting and wildlife conservation are treated as non-negotiable rather than talking points, and hunters after trophy-class game in demanding Southwest country tend to find the standards here match their own.

HUNT DETAILS:
Spot and stalk is the primary method on Arizona desert sheep, and this outfitter's version of it starts long before a hunter arrives. Units are scouted thoroughly, rams are located and watched, and by the time a hunter shows up there is already a plan built around specific animals. In the field the work is glassing, hours of it, picking rams out of country that hides them well. Rams in these units run trophy class. Once a ram is found, the stalk is worked out deliberately, with the goal of putting the hunter in position for a clean, ethical shot rather than a marginal one. The terrain does not make any of this easy. Sheep country here is remote and broken, full of steep canyons and rocky ridgelines, and covering it takes both fitness and patience. That difficulty is also what makes the hunt what it is. Hunters who put in the effort come away with one of the most fulfilling experiences available in North American big game hunting.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Lodging is included on fully outfitted hunts, and hunters stay either in a hotel or in a well-equipped camp depending on which unit is being hunted and how far it sits from town. The hotel option puts hunters near services with a bed and a shower at the end of a hard day, while camp puts them closer to the country and saves the daily drive in and out. Either way the outfitter handles the arrangements, so hunters are not booking rooms, hauling camp gear, or figuring out where to base themselves in unfamiliar country.
