These hunts take place during the spring breeding season, and fall salmon runs. The majority of the hunting is a spot-and-stalk style approach using vessel’s/boats to navigate the area. The Brown Bear they work to harvest square from 8.5ft to 9.5ft+, with skull sizes ranging from 22” - 27”. A typical hunting day will consist of leaving the lodge just before daylight, and using a 21' boat to travel to their desired hunting location. At the end of each day you will return to the lodge for a freshly cooked meal and a warm bed. With bear movement highest during the coolest parts of the day, their hunting efforts will be focused on mornings and evenings. However, you should expect to spend daylight until dark, hunting everyday. All of their Brown Bear hunts are guided 1 on 1, ensuring that they can devote everything to the success of your trip. The physical requirements for this hunt are minimal. They spot and stalk each animal, with all hiking done primarily over grass flats and shorelines.
Their spring Brown Bear hunts start April 29th and end May 21st. These hunts take place during the breeding season, so expect long hours of glassing over the grass flats.
Their fall Brown Bear hunts start September 14th and end October 6th. The salmon are running in the streams during this hunt, so most of the time will be spent sitting on the many different rivers they have access to.
Once you have arrived on your commercial flight, your float plane flight to and from their lodge is included in the price. They provide all the housing, meals, wi-fi, and laundry services. They accommodate one brown bear hunter at a time, unless you invite another hunter to come along with you. All of the hunting is done from the lodge, so there will be no camping and no sleeping on a boat. On a normal day they will leave the lodge around 5am, and return around 9pm.
Breakfast and dinner is provided everyday for their guest(s), and their lunches will be packed to go. Their guests will always have their own private room, bathroom, and access to laundry services. If you are doing a brown bear hunt, you will be able to choose a room on the first or third floor of their lodge.
A blacktail deer can be added to any brown bear hunt as well. A trophy fee will be charged for any buck harvested. Please converse with the outfitter regarding current trophy fees at the time of your hunt.
