DESCRIPTION:

Join this HFA Endorsed Outfitter on a float trip through Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in search of grizzly bear and caribou. Imagine miles of unspoiled country awaiting you down river as you meander through high alpine tundra. Stopping at key glassing points throughout the trip a hunter might see grizzly, sheep, caribou, possibly even a stray muskox. In addition to big game, hunters may also find wolves and wolverines en route to their pick up location.

Arctic grizzly bears are not big animals in comparison to the brown bears in the southern portions of the state. A large boar in this country will top out around 7.5' with a small handful that might be close to 8'. A solid 6.5' bear would be considered a good bear for most hunters.

Though caribou are included in the combo, this should be booked as a bear hunt with a decent chance at a caribou. Traversing the outer fringe of the Porcupine caribou herd's migration route, hunters could see several bulls or very few depending on the year.

This is an excellent hunt with very good odds for an Arctic grizzly and a bonus caribou.
