DESCRIPTION:

Winter in British Columbia is time for giant lions. At the northern edge of their range, lions grow very big in this part of North America. This outfitter trees cats that average 160-180. Anyone that knows cats also knows that numbers get thrown around loosely when it comes to big lions. These cats need no embellishment, the photos speak for themselves. these cats are the top end!

Come prepared for a hunt, these big toms don't come easy. When the hounds are cut loose on a big tom, the going can get tough. Guides will be riding snowmobiles in the pre-dawn, trying to turn up a big track. Getting the dogs on this track is time sensitive and everyone needs to be ready to launch. Hunters can expect to ride in a vehicle as close as possible but some snowmobiling may be required. The final approach to the cat will be on foot.

Small cats are gaining interest and lion hunters should consider bobcat and lynx while on this hunt. The early season in December and January tend to be better conditions for the light cats. Those seeking a combo may want to plan accordingly.
