ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter offers big game hunting across three prime Wyoming locations: Cody, Casper, and Dubois. The operation specializes in trophy hunts and pursues a broad lineup of species, including Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, mountain lion, mule deer, antelope, Rocky Mountain goat, Shiras moose, and elk. Built around seasoned, dedicated guides, well-conditioned horses, and dependable equipment, this is a program that emphasizes quality over quantity and keeps the client at the center of every hunt. From the plains to the alpine peaks, the team works to deliver a top-tier hunting experience for hunters chasing a standout animal in Wyoming's varied country.

HUNT DETAILS:
This is a premier muleback elk hunt that takes hunters deep into remote Wyoming backcountry for a classic ride-in adventure. Both archery and rifle hunters are accommodated, and because the hunt takes place inside a designated wilderness area, all non-residents must be accompanied by a guide for the full duration. The trip begins with a night in Dubois, after which hunters meet their guides the next morning and follow them to a trailhead about an hour from town. From there, it is roughly a three-hour horseback ride into one of two base camps set in the heart of elk range. Each day, hunters ride out from camp to work different drainages, covering rugged, timbered terrain in search of bulls. This is a physically demanding hunt, and hunters are encouraged to arrive in good shape and confident in their shooting. For those willing to put in the miles in the saddle, the setting rewards them with a true taste of the mountains and a real chance at a mature bull.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters are housed in traditional tent camps reached by horseback, with two base camps serving this hunt. Each main camp is built around a cook tent alongside canvas wall tents, and every hunter is provided a cot for sleeping. The cook tent anchors daily camp life, functioning as the place where meals are prepared and where the group gathers at the start and finish of each day afield. This is a rustic, tent-based setup rather than a fixed lodge, keeping hunters positioned close to where they ride out to hunt each day.
