DESCRIPTION:

This outfitter offers hunts located in the Interior of Alaska. Every guide working for this outfitter has a love of sheep hunting so you can trust that you are in good hands. Their fully-guided sheep hunts are rugged hunts and very physically demanding. Despite the fact that they can access their sheep hunting area by small aircraft, one should still expect a significant amount of walking and/or hiking. While they do harvest upper-echelon rams, the average ram taken in this area is 34-38” inches unless broomed of course. They’re not focused on harvesting only “age-legal rams”. They focus their efforts and hunt as hard as they can with the intention of harvesting mature full curl rams, or even better yet, rugged double-broomers! There is an additional harvest opportunity for wolves if the opportunity presents itself.

You will arrive into the beautiful Alaska Range by small general aviation aircraft on bush wheels landing on gravel or grass strips. Each day you will travel by foot, and rams will be pursued using spot and stalk methods. In some situations, you will be able to return to base camp, but primarily sheep hunters should expect foot travel and spike camps/tents each night. The trophy is earned in every possible way and sheep steak dinners are the best meals you will ever eat!

These are 10-day sheep hunts, typically arriving in the field 2 to 3 days prior to the season opening. These particular hunts do not require drawing a permit and can be purchased over the counter. This hunt is a physical hunt and clients are expected to be in sheep shape! This outfitter only offers a couple of hunts each year with high success rates.
