ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter in Kansas specializes in whitetail hunting but also offers turkey, waterfowl, quail, and coyote hunts. They operate on over 21,000 acres of private, long-term leased land in Chautauqua and Elk counties. The property is carefully managed to provide prime habitat for wildlife, featuring a diverse landscape of mature timber, cedars, river bottoms, oak flats, brushy hedgerows, agricultural fields, and crop grasses—offering the full Kansas hunting experience. Dedicated to growing and managing some of the nation’s largest free-ranging, fair-chase whitetails, they emphasize quality habitat and herd management. Their commitment to conservation and ethical hunting practices ensures exceptional opportunities for hunters seeking trophy whitetails and a variety of other game species. With expert guides and a well-maintained environment, this outfitter provides a premier hunting experience for all levels of hunters looking for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Kansas.

HUNT DETAILS:
Whitetail hunts are fully guided, offering year-round scouting and observation to position hunters as close as possible to a trophy buck. A carefully managed nutrition plan with minerals and feed supports antler growth during critical periods and throughout the hunt. Additionally, hunters benefit from convenient drop-off and pick-up services at their stands.

The whitetail season begins in September with muzzleloader hunts, an ideal time to target velvet bucks still in bachelor groups following summer feeding patterns. As October arrives, the season transitions into archery, leading up to the always thrilling Kansas rut in November. Late November marks the start of a two-week rifle season, extending into December—a period that never lacks excitement. The season concludes with late-season archery hunts through the end of December, when colder temperatures increase the chances of encountering mature bucks, making for an exhilarating final opportunity to harvest a trophy. They kill quality deer each year with an average of 150 inches and enforce a $1,500 fee for any young deer that are killed.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
The Main Lodge is a spacious home designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. The main floor features two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-concept kitchen, living, and dining area. A great room offers a big-screen satellite TV and a poker table, providing the perfect space to relax after a day in the field.

Downstairs, guests will find three additional bedrooms, another open-concept kitchen, living, and dining area, and two full bathrooms. This level also houses a two-car garage for storing gear. All linens and towels are provided—just bring your personal items. A washer and dryer are available on-site, with laundry service offered for added convenience. The lodge is always clean upon arrival, and guests can look forward to delicious home-cooked meals served daily, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Kansas uses a true preference point system for whitetail deer tags, meaning hunters with the most points receive permits. No point system exists for mule deer. If you are looking to hunt mule deer, you must submit a mule deer stamp at the time of your whitetail application. However, to be entered in the draw for that stamp, you must first draw a whitetail permit. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team will help you apply at the time of application.
