ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed operation is owned and managed by experienced partners with more than three decades of guiding and outfitting big game hunts across the North. The lead operator was born and raised in Canada and developed a passion for hunting and fishing at a young age, beginning with whitetail deer and waterfowl before progressing into moose and elk. That early foundation led to a lifelong career in the northern guiding industry, including extensive experience guiding moose, mountain caribou, Stone sheep, grizzly bear, deer, and black bear. Years spent working in some of the most demanding northern environments have shaped a highly professional, safety-focused operation with a proven track record on challenging Arctic species.
HUNT DETAILS:
Muskox hunts are conducted in extremely remote Arctic terrain during both spring and fall seasons, offering hunters a rare and authentic northern experience. These are five-day hunts with near-perfect success rates on mature bulls, including multiple record-book animals taken each year with both rifle and archery equipment. Spring hunts run from late February through the end of April and are conducted by snowmobile with sleds, while fall hunts take place in August and September using ATVs and boats for access. Hunting consists of covering ground until small groups of muskox are located, followed by a careful final stalk on foot. All hunts are run on a 2-on-1 basis with a seasoned local guide and assistant, and optional wolf hunting can be added during both seasons. A second muskox may be harvested if additional tags are secured in advance.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in comfortable yet functional Arctic camps designed for harsh northern conditions. Main camps consist of basic, heated wood cabins, while spike camps utilize insulated, heated wall tents. These accommodations provide a warm, secure base in the field while maintaining the authentic feel of a true remote Arctic hunt. Despite the rugged setting, camps are well-organized and focused on efficiency, safety, and comfort after long days in the field.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
All required licenses and tags are arranged in advance through the outfitter, with careful coordination to ensure a smooth and compliant hunting experience. Hunters interested in harvesting a second muskox must secure the appropriate additional tags prior to arrival. Combination wolf hunts are available and must be arranged ahead of time. As with all Arctic hunts, space is limited and advance planning is essential to secure preferred seasons and opportunities.
