HUNT DETAILS:
These hunts take place in an exclusive concession within the Wrangell-St. Elias National Preserve, one of the most diverse and rugged hunting areas in Alaska. The terrain ranges from approximately 800 feet along the Chitina River to the towering summit of Mount Blackburn, the fifth-highest peak in the United States at over 16,000 feet. The glacial valleys are framed by 10,000-foot ridges and ancient ice fields, creating a truly breathtaking backdrop. Mountain goats inhabit the steep, rocky crags of this concession, and we carefully manage their harvest, taking only 2-3 goats per year. Don’t be misled by the limited quota—goats are spotted frequently throughout the hunt. This is perhaps on of the greatest hunt setting, offering stunning views of a massive glacier nestled in a narrow canyon, complete with ice bridges formed by winter avalanches. As an added bonus, black bears may also be taken during these goat hunts at no additional charge.
ACCOMODATIONS:

LICENSE PROCESS:
Over-the-counter harvest tickets are also available for most areas. Your license and tags can be purchased online through the ADFG website at least a month in advance.
