HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter was raised in Wyoming's sheep country and comes from a family with deep roots in sheep hunting. They treat it as the pinnacle of the hunting world, and that shows in how these hunts are staffed. A hunter booking a sheep hunt here will likely have more than one guide working for them, because nearly every guide on the crew wants to be part of a sheep hunt and considers it an honor to be included. The guides are experienced and driven, and they scout extensively to locate the best rams in each unit before a hunter ever arrives. The focus is on Units 4 and 7, both of which they know intimately, down to individual ridges, basins, and draws. That familiarity is what lets them target the right areas rather than covering ground and hoping a mature ram turns up. Hunters should arrive fit and prepared, since this is high country and rams do not live anywhere easy.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
One of the outfitter's primary wilderness camps sits in the heart of Area 7 sheep country, set up with comfortable wall tents. It serves as the central base for the whole operation, which is how they are able to monitor rams both before and during the hunt. Hunters working Unit 7 can stay in that main camp or move to a remote spike camp depending on where the best rams are being seen. Area 4 hunts are run exclusively from a backcountry spike camp packed in deep in the mountains. Horses and mules carry hunters and gear into that high terrain, since there is no other practical way in.
