HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter has provided drop camps for over 20 years, catering to avid archery hunters seeking a challenging and rewarding adventure. Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the Bighorn Mountains offer prime elk hunting with vast wilderness and abundant game. A drop camp hunting trip allows you to venture off the beaten path, immersing yourself in some of the most remote and untouched areas of the Bighorns. Experience the thrill of hunting in pristine backcountry, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, while enjoying the freedom and solitude that make for an unforgettable hunting experience in this premier elk destination. Dates and duration can be open ended and clients can typically stay as long as they want as long as it is coordinated with the outfitter prior to the trip.

ACCOMMODTIONS:
This outfitter offers a pack-in service to one of seven remote locations, providing a comfortable wall tent camp equipped with a stove, cots, tables, and essentials. Hunters must bring their own sleeping bags and food for the trip. If you successfully harvest an elk, you are responsible for packing it to a horse-accessible trail for retrieval. Most camps require a scenic 3-4 hour horseback ride from the trailhead, ensuring a true backcountry experience. This setup allows hunters to immerse themselves in the wilderness while enjoying a well-equipped camp in prime hunting territory.

LICENSE PROCESS:
Licenses for all seasons and hunts in Wyoming are allocated through the draw with a deadline that is historically the end of January. Each unit and season require different numbers of preference points to draw a license with this specific unit taking roughly 5+ points to draw.
