We’ll alert you to non-traditional hunt opportunities like outfitter draw tags, outfitter allocated tags, or other ways of obtaining quality limited draw tags.
Almost everyone knows the crucial key to inexpensive trophy hunting in the west is drawing tags with the aid of bonus and preference points. What most people do not realize is that often times a portion of these tags are allocated to outfitters to distribute. In some states like Nevada, you apply with an outfitter for these tags. If you're unsuccessful and you apply a second time in the regular draw which equals two opportunities to obtain a high quality tag. States like Oregon set aside a percentage of high quality tags for outfitters which otherwise would only be available through the draw. Don't miss a state like New Mexico that offers a percentage of the big game tags to nonresident applicants who apply with an outfitter. Sometimes the odds of drawing these tags can be incredibly high. The key is obtaining a tag. Do not overlook outfitter allocated tags.
