The Huntin' Fool 2008 Story Contest Prizes
Part 1 - Everyone’s a Winner!
Each person who submits a story with exclusive rights to The Huntin’ Fool will receive a Huntin’ Fool Advantage Max-1 hat plus a Huntin’ Fool “Collector’s Edition” Browning skinning knife and a Huntin’ Fool Browning folding knife—a total value of $95 just for submitting a story. These stories must be from the 2007 hunting season.
Part 2 - Stories that get printed
Members whose stories are printed in The Huntin’ Fool will receive $1,700 package of gear and certificates towards the purchase of gear. From the Huntin’ Fool alone you will receive $250 worth of prizes, including a free year membership, a heavy duty sweatshirt, a t-shirt, a hat, and two knives! Also included if your story is printed are one year memberships and subscriptions to the magazines of FNAWS, MDF, and RMEF, a hat and lens pen from Leupold, and an energy pack from Wilderness Athlete including High Energy Bars and Drink Mixes. You will also get gift certificates toward substantial discounts on top of the line equipment including: a 50% discount on an ammunition purchase from Hornady for up to a $300 discount, a 35% discount on Hilleberg tents for up to a $475 discount, 35% off a gear package from Sitka Gear up to $200 off. Also included are certificates for $200 off a Long Range Shooting Course from Thompson Long Range, $100 off a Leaf River trail camera, $75 off a pair of Kenetrek boots, $50 off a Lathrop & Sons boot system, $20 to $40 off a purchase from Adventure Outfitters, and a $10 Gift Card from Sportsman’s Warehouse!
Part 3 - the Grand Prize
If you are lucky enough to be one of the 12 hunters featured on our cover during the 2008 year you will be entered in a random drawing for the grand prize package which includes lifetime memberships from FNAWS, MDF, and RMEF, a free long range shooting course from Thompson Long Range worth $1,650, a free Maverick Safe from Fort Knox worth $1,500, a pair of Gold Ring binoculars from Leupold worth $1,250, a full 9 piece Sitka System from Sitka Gear worth $756, a $400 tent from Hilleberg, a $300 pair of boots from Kenetrek, a $250 trail camera from Leaf River, and a $5,000 Honda Rancher ATV from The Huntin’ Fool.
