1. ELIGIBILITY. Sweepstakes offered and open only to legal residents of the United States (U.S.). Void in
New York, Florida, and where prohibited. Each entrant must be at least 21 years or older, a licensed driver,
and have a valid hunter safety number, on or before November 1, 2011. U.S. laws govern this sweepstakes. The
winners may not be an employee of Carter’s Hunter Services (“Sponsor”) nor an individual
domiciled with, or an immediate family member of, any such employee. By entering, you agree to these Official
Rules, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD. Sweepstakes period begins on November 1, 2011 at 12:01 am Mountain Standard Time (MST)
and ends on February 22, 2012 at 12:00 pm MST. Entries that are sent through the mail must be received by no
later than February 24, 2012.
3. CONSUMER DISCLOSURE: PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING. The winners will be eligible to
receive 1 of 18 prizes, 2 rifle packages and 2 bow packages with a retail value of prizes totaling over $212,000
USD at the time these Official Rules are posted. A full description of each hunt or prize, and associated
retail value, can be found in our November 2011 magazine and on our website. Entrants must submit their entries
in accordance with these Official Rules and submitting an entry does not mean that a Prize has been won.
Deadlines are identified under “SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD.” No purchase is necessary to win.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. It is expressly understood that
Sponsor is under no obligation to the entrants, potential winners, and winners, other than as expressly set
forth herein. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and fees associated with
the receipt and use of any prize.
4. ENTRY FOR SWEEPSTAKES. Entry may be made by: New Member Referral Method or Mail-In Method. (1) New
Member Referral Method: Refer a new member with a new address who joins Carter’s Hunter Services
between November 1, 2011 and February 24, 2012, ensure the referring party’s name is included on
the membership form, and the referrer will receive 2 free tickets for the drawing and knife. If the entry is
received before December 9, 2011 the referrer will receive 1 free Early Bird ticket. Entries for this entry method
is not valid until the new member’s credit card or check is processed. Sponsor is not responsible for technical or
human malfunctions of any kind in processing credit cards and checks. (2) Mail-In Method: On a 3"x5"
card in blue ink, hand print your full name, hunter education # with issuing state and issuing state agency
phone number for verification purposes, complete home address including zip code, home telephone number with
area code, date of birth, gender, and email address (if available) and mail it in a first class stamped
envelope to: Carter’s Hunter Services Membership Drive, PO Box 250, Cedar City, UT 84721. A free knife and
Golden Ticket is also available to those who mail in four mail in entries. A free Early Bird ticket is also available
for those who mail in four mail in entries before December 9, 2011. In the same envelope, include a separate
3x5 card in blue ink, hand print your full name, hunter education # with issuing state and issuing state agency
phone number for verification purposes, complete home address including zip code, home telephone number with
area code, date of birth, and email address (if available) along with a cashier's check for $25 for knife shipping
and handling. Mail in entries must be received between the dates of November 1, 2011 and
February 24, 2012. Sponsor is not responsible for any lost, incomplete, illegible, late, mutilated, or
misdirected entries. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an
entrant who Sponsor believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness,
or proper play of this sweepstakes, and to cancel the sweepstakes. All entries become the exclusive property
of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Limit of one entry per person and limit of five total
entries per household.
5. AWARD AND DRAWING. A drawing will be held on February 25, 2012, during which potential winners will be
selected from among all eligible entries received. An Early Bird drawing will be held on December 9, 2011, during
which a potential winner will be selected among all eligible entries received. A list of these potential winners will be published
on www.huntinfool.com and in The Huntin’ Fool magazine. Sponsor’s staff will attempt
to contact these potential winners until March 25, 2012. If Sponsor’s staff is unable to contact
any potential winner with the information provided to us by the entrant by March 31, 2012 or if any
potential winner does not complete and return a signed affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity
release by March 31, 2012 that particular potential winner’s prize will be forfeited. Gift certificates
or prizes will be delivered to winners on or before March 31, 2012. Potential winners have the right to
forfeit any prize, which forfeiture must be done in a signed, writing. Prizes will not be reassigned and
alternative potential winners will not be selected.
6. TAXES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS. The winners shall be responsible for all taxes, fees,
or other costs, including, without limitation, any travel or transportation costs, associated with winning.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Prizes are transferable, and there are no substitutions on any prizes (Sponsor reserves
the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value). The depiction of the prizes in any advertising or
promotional materials may not reflect the actual prize delivered to the winners.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. Sponsor and any participating donors or participating sponsors, and their
respective affiliates, employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, successors,
assigns, and licensees (“Released Parties”) shall not be liable for any property loss, damage,
personal injury, or death or any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy,
resulting from participating in this sweepstakes or from the acceptance or use of the prize awarded. Any
dispute shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action.
9. LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE. The potential winners shall each be required to execute an affidavit of
eligibility and liability/publicity release by March 31, 2012 and prior to receipt of each prize or forfeit
the prize. By submitting an entry and participating in this sweepstakes, entrants irrevocably transfer, grant,
and assign to the Sponsor, its affiliates and its respective successors, assigns, and licensees (unless
prohibited by law), the right worldwide and in perpetuity, to use entrant’s name, likeness, voice,
and photograph in any and all media for any advertising and promotional purposes without additional
compensation, as well as on the Sponsor’s website in connection with this sweepstakes and other
promotions, and release Sponsor and any entity acting on behalf of Sponsor from any liability with respect
thereto.
10. All winners must fill out all appropriate paperwork prior to receiving a firearm.

Cedar City, UT 84721. A membership and sweepstakes entry packet may be obtained by calling
